One of the main reasons for creating a sophisticated Placement Workflow was to create a bridge between the college and marry that to the requirements of the corporate world.
We have been thinking on how can My Open Campus give "tangible" benefits to a college and a student. A robust job ecosystem is a very important spoke in the wheel and we are offering it as a service across our colleges.
Our database contains hundreds of corporates Pan India who post their requirements directly into individual college portals - they can schedule their campus interviews and also view the students who have applied for the interview.
The vision is to provide maximum exposure to the students across corporates which allows them a better chance of getting placed for eg - a college has 100 corporates coming to them in a year, by using My Open Campus they can extend this to 500 corporates instantly. They can also get instant feedback from corporates on how their students have performed, average salary and what skills are required for next year - all within the portal.
We are extremely happy with the response from corporates who want to tap colleges where they have not been to or are too small to approach them. Our system gives them the reach to immediately post their requirements to the existing students and also to the alumni.
