A place for startup entrepreneurs to meet in Pune
The most wonderful gift to tomorrow’s generations is a healthy environment. Healthy environment needs cleanliness. Though many individuals are coming forward these days for cleanliness drives, a big responsibility also lies on the corporate world. Corporates should come forward and participate/assist in cleanliness drives in a big way.
CurlyOrange.com, which is into personalized products for children, understands its responsibility towards the health of our future generation. We have observed the deficit of dustbins in public places as one of the reasons for uncleanliness of public areas. So we joined hands with the Resurgent India Group’s ‘Donate-a-dustbin’ drive, by donating and installing many Dust-bins in and around main landmark of Pune– Shaniwar Wada...a place which is close to the heart of every Punekar! A cleanliness and beautification drive was conducted at Shaniwar Wada on Sunday 30th November 2014 with around 20 volunteers joining the event.
The drive was organized by the Resurgent India Group of individuals that come from various walks of life and comprise of members across all age groups. The group was formed about a year ago and was earlier involved in various activities such as Voter Registration, Voter Awareness Campaign etc. The groups objective is to bring about a positive change in the society through involvement in various social & community initiatives. Presently the group has involved itself in the Swach Bharat Abhiyan. It's plan is to take up a sustained campaign to clean-up places of prominence and importance in the city first.
Curly Orange team has taken this first step, however there is a long way to go. Like the individuals, the corporate world with huge resources, must also come forward to make India a better and healthy place. There are many voluntary organizations looking for this support and we hope to see many companies will do their bit to take ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ movement ahead.
