All Event Promoters,

Here's guidelines I follow for promoting events on

* Any legitimate event can be posted to I ban folks who publish events that talk about their company, or are posting content that is not an event. This is usually spam so you need not worry about this if you are posting an event you believe members should attend.

* If the event is startup or entrepreneurship-related, I feature it on the front-page. 80% of your target audience must be doing a startup (founder-CEO, founder-CTO, founder-CMO etc.). Again, if there is a POCC, or POCC supported, or POCC-sponsored event that needs to be highlighted, I might un-feature other events temporarily. This is exceptional.

* If the event is a POCC, POCC supported, or POCC-sponsor** event, 1 to 2 mailers go out for that event network-wide. No more than one mailer a week.

** A POCC-sponsor is someone who has paid for the campaign to support We usually take on sponsors such as Startup Garage in the past. Again, they have to be highly relevant to the startup community.
