Purpose

Help business-owners define their marketing strategy, set objectives, and measure marketing performance.

This will be a three part workshop to be conducted over three months. While the workshop will be free, one needs to be registered and selected to participate in this workshop. The event announcements will come soon, but please start registering in the meanwhile.

Who Should Attend?

(1) Founders or owners of start-ups or small businesses with not more than 20 employees and no full-time marketing employees.

(2) Students who are sincerely interested in understanding online marketing

Agenda

Session 1 (16 February 2013): Defining strategy

This session will help you define your marketing strategy, including your product/service focus and benefits, your USP, your target audience, your positioning, your objectives, and the marketing channels you should focus on.

The facilitators will guide you through this process and review and give feedback on your strategy.

After this session, you will put into practice what you have learned, and report back in the next session.

Session 2 (March 2013): Measuring performance

This session will help you decide on your most important marketing objectives and how to measure performance against them.

After this session, you will put into practice what you have learned, and report back in the next session.

Session 3 (April 2013): Improve marketing

The goal of this session will be to review where each participant is falling short and how you can bridge the gap.

The facilitators will guide you through this process and review and give feedback for your marketing performance.

Workshop Facilitators

The 3-session workshop will be conducted by Unmana Datta and Nilesh Bhojani, the founders of Better Marketing, a marketing consultancy firm in Pune. Unmana has extensive experience in managing online marketing and consulting with clients on their strategy, and Nilesh has worked in project management and IT consulting apart from business and marketing consulting.
