The person will manage specified projects assigned to him. While a good handle on demonstrated project management skills (inclusive of exposure to Agile / SDLC and relevant processes with project management certification) is important, acumen to help the business development in pre sales activities is desired. Goal oriented client communication is very important for the success of this role


Job Description

The deserving candidate will manage the delivery function of the organization. Experience in managing multiple projects, multiple client with profitable engagement is the prime requirements. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated experience of handling product development assignments.


Company's technology focus is Microsoft and domain areas include the following. Having experience in these areas is desirable but is not a limiting factor.

  • Portals and Collaboration
  • Business Intelligence applications
  • Cloud applications (Azure / Amazon)
  • Mobile apps
  • Application development using native frameworks
  • Content Management applications

Exposure towards managing projects in the offshore / onshore combination is a prime requirement. Relevant demonstrated skills in this area are a crucial factor. The various areas where we expect the candidate to contribute are as below;

    1. Should be presently working at programme management level
    2. Should have handled team sizes between 150 to 300 people.
  2. Processes Development
    1. Formal exposure on setting and implementing processes
    2. Demonstrated skills in Planning and organizing
  3. People development
    1. Strong exposure on people management and development.
    2. Understand career aspirations and chalk out the individual growth plans.
  4. Team planning
    1. Strong exposure to building teams.
    2. Proactively understand the needs and make qualified execution bandwidth available to address opportunities.
  5. Competency building
    1. Must be able to understand the present and future competency needs.
    2. Monitor every individual competency building and build adequate resources
  6. Profitability Management
    1. Should have project profitability focus.
    2. Should take proactive steps to achieve overall execution profitability
  7. Customer handling
    1. Should have managed multiple customers.
    2. Must build rapport with clients such that there is repeat business
  8. Pre sales orientation
    1. Should strongly liaison with business development team for presentation and proposal building.
    2. Understand their needs and support proactively with the requisite technology, process and application showcase.
  9. Training and Development
    1. Manage and maintain process driven training programs for various levels in the organization
    2. Be proactive of customer needs and address them through effective training.



Candidate profile

1. Educational qualification: BE. An MBA in systems will be desirable

2. At least 13 to 16 years of experience in an IT company. Of this, at least 5 years should have been spent in delivery management.

3. Must be able to maintain smooth client relationships

4. Ability to “smell” business in existing accounts and report to the account managers / BD Managers.

5. Good understanding of technology

6. High energy levels

7. Good communication skills – verbal and written

8. Ability to assist in high value proposals.
