Event Description

In our next Open Coffee Club we're meeting to discuss getting started essentials, laws that impact startups and working with the Pune Open Coffee Club.

Essentials for Starting up - Amod Bapat.

Amod will walk you through what you need to get going on your venture. The session will be highly interactive with real life business experiences .

Amod is a Chartered Accountant from India and also a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) from U.S.A. He has worked in the Audit and Consulting Divisions of reputed Audit firms like Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen in their offices at Kuwait, Mumbai and Pune.

Amod is actively involved in helping and mentoring various Startup Companies and SME Companies both in the IT and non IT segment and is an active supporter of the Pune Open Coffee Club for startups. Apart from his professional activities, Amod is interested in Travelling, Trekking and Music both Indian and Western.

Is your Venture violating the Law? - Adv. Sunil Gokhale.

Advocate Sunil Gokhale will walk us through a basic introduction to Laws that impact IT Startups. For the smooth functioning, start-up companies can make use of the provisions of business laws, information technology law, intellectual property law and other domain-specific laws, and not to consider them as obstacles in business. The lawyers would help them in advising, researching and preparing the necessary documents, which would serve their interests and reduce them of their liabilities for any national or international transactions. A legal perspective for startups shall be presented by Adv. Dr. Sunil Gokhale, who has a doctorate in physics and an industrial and legal experience for several years.

Organizing your own Open Coffee Club Meetup - Santosh Dawara.

Santosh Dawara, Founder of the Pune Open Coffee Club will walk you through the motivation behind the Open Coffee Club and how you can volunteer your time to benefit the startup eco-system in Pune.

Dear members,

Apologies to those who attended yesterday's POCC fund-raiser & could not make a donation due to my absence. I could not leave home as I was unwell.

I will be sending out a note soon on when we can meet again. Thank you for your generosity!

Best regards,

Santosh Dawara.
