TiE Pune presents Pradip Marathe of Coton King under My Story serties - 'People behind Puneri Brands'
Only a handful brands that originated from Pune are going regional and national, some even international.
This series attempts to uncover these and the people behind the organizations.
Mr. Pradip Marathe - Founder and CEO of Cotton King
A pioneer in selling cotton garments in India, Cottonking was founded in the year 1996 by Mr. Pradip Marathe, CMD Cottonking with his wife, Mrs. Shubhada Marathe, CFO
With a BE (Mechanical) and MBA (Marketing) and a rich experience of over 15 years, Mr. Marathe sensed the potential market for 100% cotton garments having served earlier in Kirloskar Brothers (Compressor Division) as GM- Marketing (All India sales).
The duo had started Cottonking’s first and flag ship showroom at Nal Stop, Pune. Now Cotton Kink has reached a tally of over 50 exclusive brand outlets spread across Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh , Gujrat & Karnataka states. Cottonking has immediate plans of widening the franchise network Pan India in various states like Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Goa, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa and Tamil Nadu.
Cottonking – The name synonymous with Success, Trust, Quality and Excellence. The three main pillars of the brand. Cottonking sponsors many activites and events, including the MPL (Maharashtra equivalent of IPL )
Most popular brands do not have manufacturing facility and lack control over quality. This is not the case with Cottonking. The state-of-art ultra modern manufacturing plant is at Hi-tech Textile Part in Baramati, near Pune with an integrated manufacturing facility spread over 84,000 sq. ft. ensures that all garments are made under one roof - right from cutting of fabric to finishing. The state of machinery ensures an end-to-end solution for garment manufacturing.
