Event Description

The very first POCC event in the new year will be about Social Media Marketing. Irrespective of whether one is a newby to Social Media or a veteran, the event will be useful to you, by offering you practical tips and knowledge to market your business on social media.

Radha Giri, who is in this field for several years, is organizing this event for Pune Startups. Given below are the session details.

Session #1:

Topic: Startups - Do Your Own Social Media

Description: In this 3 part session, Prashant will cover: why start-ups should use social media, followed by some real-life examples of businesses doing it good. He will then provide practical tips on mistakes which businesses should avoid while executing their social media strategy.

Speaker: Prashant Naidu, Founder of Lighthouse Insights and Head of Social Media at BuzzFactory

Session #2:

Topic: 2013: Is your Social Media Plan ready ?

Description: It's new year! Apart from new year celebrations, every year we are assigned with the task of creating plans and strategy. But with the ever increasing domain and influence of social media, are you ready with the plan to ace it in 2013?

Speaker: Shikha Pakhide, Senior Regional Marketing Specialist - SEAPac at Bentley Systems and Co-Founder of Social Media Club, Pune Chapter

Session #3:

Topic: The Making of a Honeycomb!

Description: The session will focus on the basic elements of social networks that facilitate community building. Further we will discuss how this community contributes and in turn gets benefitted by the social network. We will draw parallels from the building of a honeycomb; the role each bee plays it; the individually insignificant, but collectively substantial contributions; the sweet success of the result of this build up; as well as some of the risks and challenges to this build up. The lessons for building a social community that can be drawn from the above are simultaneously intuitive and awe inspiring.

Speaker: Dr. Ajay Kolhatkar, PhD., Senior Practice Consultant at Tata Management Training Centre (TMTC)

Directions to SICSR, Model Colony.
