Event Description

This is to gauge interest in the community for a LAN Gaming Night.

We get-together at dinner time (8pm) on a Friday or Saturday night at the venue, order pizza's, mountain dew and kickoff gaming till we are completely exhausted.

We could schedule this either for the afternoon or post-dinner.

What do we need?
* YOU! Please RSVP below if you would be interested in attending this event. If we get 20+ RSVP's I will set this up. Help spread the word!

* Venue Sponsor: Enough for about 10 to 20 gamers with simple desk space, chairs, internet and electricity

* Game recommendations: Ideally games that you can install and play on their Laptop. Bonus points for games which can work on Windows and on Linux. Games are ideally team-oriented, divide into 2 or more teams and "capture the flag".

- BZFlag
- Microsoft's Age of Empires

* A powerful local game server we can all connect to

Sure, we still need gamers to make it interesting.

Ooh! and I almost forgot- Scorched Earth. Minimum learning curve, infinite stupidity-induced fun!

The Sandtrap in Halo 3 is an amazing timewaster for small groups; Guardian works well for larger audiences with rotation.

I'd suggest Homeworld; I have the media and don't mind making copies. Would prefer people buy it though, worth every penny. It's a pretty old full-3D-RTS-space-exploration-action game.

Also, PS3 fans like myself I've got Killzone2, Uncharted2 and LittleBigPlanet. And for retro gamers, I've got the Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection for the PS3.
