Quoting Sandeep Saxena "This event is open to families. Spouse and kids are welcome. Rain will
not halt the game and rules will be a little flexible. A little bit of
hand ball is allowed and it will be more like a friendly match.
Sponsors are welcome. Personal Handycams are also welcome.

This event is more to test the waters. To meet and check if we can do
this weekly. To find what are the other games of interest. Is it
cricket, volley ball, badminton, table tennis, chess. What are the
good venues. And get to know each other even more closely. And build
the startup ecosystem."

When you move from the main building towards iucaa, you will first come to main ground, then our football ground and then iucaa. The best way is to ask for the road that takes you to "Aundh road" Take that road and our ground is a left before the first gate. Best people to ask are the security guards on these gates as there are no pan shops and chai tapris.

Comment by Sandeep Saxena on July 16, 2010 at 11:26am: Teams will be formed on a first come first serve basis and to a certain extent the choice of captains. And who are the captains. Your guess is as good as mine.

If the players are getting tired, we may have more breaks and shorter games.

If a player is tired he may walk out and give an opportunity to a late comer to hit that golden goal.

For POCC Soccer Match, we are looking for sponsors. We are planning to get flex posters at the venue. Your logo will be printed on the poster.

Timing : 10 to 12

Schedule : 10:00 - 10:15 team formation, warming up and briefing
First half : 10:30 - 11:00
Half time : 11:00 - 11:15 (Frooti and banana break)
Second half : 11:15 - 11:45
We disperse at 12:00

Broad rules
1. All players will wear sports shoes. People with floaters, formal shoes, bare feet are not allowed
2. All players will wear tracks / shorts. People with jeans, formal trousers not allowed
3. We are still working with our football coach to provide t-shirts in two colors.

Broad Advice
1. A little warming up on Friday and Saturday in your colony garden is highly advisable. If Anil Ambani can spare time to prepare for Mumbai Marathon, I am sure, you can do that as well.

2. This is going to be a friendly match. No hard play. Come for fun and participation and not for showing off your hamstrings.

3. We will have a spray, iodex, detol, cotton and glucose in our kit.
